Quake 4 cd key is invalid4/2/2024 ![]() ![]() GPUs with ECC enabled may not be used in an SLI configuration.Games on ID Tech 4 engine includes Quake 4, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Doom 3, Prey and Open Source games on ID Tech 4 include The Dark Mod. Only ID Tech 4 Engine games are officially supported in SLI by creating an "Application Profile" with GLDoom3 set to "true".Only works on desktop platforms, SLI on mobile GPU's is unsupported.Linux only support SLI & Multi-GPU (Two-GPUs-on-one cards such as the GTX 690) can be enabled, but only via commant promts in the Terminal.SLI is supported… BUT, sadly SLI is still in an extremely primitive state.įor more information, please read SLI & Multi-GPU section of the ReadMe included with nVidia’s drivers for Linux.(external link)Ĭurrent limitations (last tested on 337.25) on nVidia’s drivers are as follows: Many long-awaited features such as nVidia’s Optimus finally has support (right now in a basic state) on Linux via nVidia Prime and newer GPU’s get support at a more respectable pace. With the introduction of SteamOS, nVidia has been increasing their support on the Linux platform dramatically compared to even a few years ago. NOTE: This was last tested with nVidia 337.25 drivers… despite these drivers adding support for the GTX Titan Z, a Multi-GPU videocard it still does not support SLI… so the GTX Titan Z is reduced to a single GTX Titan in Linux… same goes for other nVidia Multi-GPU cards such as the GTX 690. SLI / Multi-GPU on Antergos (and Linux in general) NOTE!!! Even though I specifically wrote this for Antergos (based off Arch)? It works on ANY Linux Distro. I’ve actually written up an extensive Wiki of my knowledge of SLI in Linux on the Antergos Wiki here: Currently my second GTX 680 is useless in Linux, SLI only works properly in Windows. If there's any further questions please feel free to contact me as I'd really love for this to be resolved. but here's some results of testing SLI on and off on Xubuntu (kernel 3.13.0-32-generic x86_64 & nVidia drivers 331.89): I'm sorry but I didn't have a program installed to be able to do screen captures in fullscreen since glc wouldn't install. I figured by making this issue logged as affecting SteamOS as well, nVidia might be more inclined to repair their driver.Īnother major issue with nVidia SLI on Linux? It does not support notebook's mobile GPU's in SLI. ![]() I did report this problem to nVidia over two months ago and haven't heard any progress so I'm starting to wonder if they will actually fix it. I am unsure if AMD's CrossFire suffers the same fate under Linux but it should be something checked into. Same goes for even using WINE to install Steam and then Windows games that aren't ported to Linux natively. Is there a chance one of the Valve devs can report this to nVidia please? Trying Source Engine games (TF2, L4D, CSS), Serious Sam 3 or Natural Selection 2 are prime examples of Steam Games that currently suffer in SLI by running at half the speed of a single card. thus it only works properly on ID Tech 4 engine games such as Prey, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Quake 4 and Doom 3. The other issue with SLI on Linux is performance. The terminal command to enable SLI on Linux is "sudo nvidia-xconfig -sli=on". There's basic support for nVidia SLI on Linux which works on other distr … os but I can't enable it on SteamOS because "nvidia-xconfig" is not installed.
